THE DONNA SEEBO NEWSLETTER~ January, 2009
A Moment with Donna © " The Loop"

I first want to say ‘Thank You’ to those of you who received multiple copies of my December newsletter.  This was caused by a corruption in my Comcast server.  It created a loop process with the newsletter and unknown to me kept sending it out again and again.  It took Comcast a full week to locate the source of corruption and clean up the mess.  I am so sorry that it happened but it was totally out of my control and I couldn’t respond to anyone’s emails as my system was frozen until Sunday the 7th of December in the latter part of the day. It was an experience I don’t desire to have again so we have moved to a new option for sending out this monthly newsletter and other major communications that will be coming up.

This looping was a first class example of what life can hand you sometimes and how you have to sit, wait and trust until conditions change so you can deal with necessities.  No one is exempt from these experiences but if you persevere you’ll gain value from them and move on.

Here we are with a New Year 2009.  Have you taken any time to reflect and ask yourself what your roadmap for this year will be?  What script of action do you want to write out?  What changes do you see that need to be implemented?  How do you want to invest in yourself?  Do you want to shift priorities?

The holiday season’s hustle and bustle is now past.  It is a good to give yourself the gift of grace, some quiet time to wrap your mind around some of these questions. Due to some of the challenging financial shifts in areas of the marketplace we are blasted daily with fearful apprehensions.  If you get caught in the wheel of doom & gloom you won’t see and recognize your own resourcefulness; be able to develop new directions or see opportunity when it knocks on your door. It does take effort to step outside of known boundaries.

Computers aren’t the only ones who can get stuck in a loop, those repetitive patterns that create frustration, havoc and inertia.  Sometimes we get so comfortable with being uncomfortable that it takes a dramatic episode to bring our attention to the necessity of change.

Change is a chameleon that is always shifting her colors, demanding adaptation to new scripts, experiences and environments.  She puts us into conditions that can be quite challenging.  How can you get yourself out of those unwanted looping patterns that you don’t want repeating over and over again?

It can be done.  It will take attentiveness, mindful presence as to the choices you are making, your plan of action, who you can interact with to support your goals, aspirations and the follow through of doing what it takes to remove the paralysis of resistance to change.  Clarity, enthusiasm, faith and determination are four friends you never want to leave behind.

2009 is a year that invites us to clean our slate, open ourselves up to dreams we have held in our hearts and initiate the action that gives us purpose, passion and joy in whatever direction that is most meaningful to us.  You desire the best and investing in yourself is the best thing to do as you are your greatest asset. Who knows what phenomenal adventures await you in this wonderful year ahead?

I wish you and everyone you love and care for the very best of everything this 2009.

Power Thought for January 2009

“Set a goal to achieve something that is so big, so exhilarating that it excites you and scares you at the same time.  It must be a goal that is so appealing, so much in line with your spiritual core that you can’t get it out of your mind.  If you do not get chills when you set a goal, you’re not setting big enough goals.”   ~~ Bob Proctor

(~.~) January’s Chuckle (~.~)

A tough old Badlands rancher once told his grandson that the secret to long life was to sprinkle a little gunpowder on his oatmeal every morning.  The grandson did this religiously, and he lived to be 93.  When he died, he left 14 children, 28 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren…and a 15-foot hole in the wall of the crematorium.

Glyconutrients…..

There are few products that I choose to endorse however, Glyconutrients I firmly believe in.  The benefits that have enabled me, my husband and friends to enjoy a greater state of health are fabulous.  I invite you to visit my website www.delphiinternational.com, touch the Glyconutrients button and read the information that I have posted there.  This is all about nutrition and living a quality life with joy, vitality and maintaining wellness.  You can also check another website of www.mannapages.com/donnaseebo.  Enter that address into the address box on your computer screen.  Do not Google it as it won’t pop up if you do.If you would like to find out more just give me a call @ 253.582.5604 or 800.872.8852.

By the way, if you are interested in trimming down after the holidays give me a call.  I have a glyconutrient product that enables one to slip out of those excess pounds, losing fat not muscle.  It is working for me and if you are interested let me know.  Between this food product and T-Tapp I am doing fabulously and so can you.  There is a meeting on January 30th, 2009, 7:00PM and if you would like to come please call my office and I will give you all of the details.

Recipe Box

– Slim Quiche Lorraine

If you are like me after the holidays you are cutting back on those luscious chubby making calories that make one’s waistline expand in unwanted inches.  Cutting back is more fun when food tastes good.  Here is a wonderful recipe that is good hot or cold and perfect for that fancy breakfast or dinner when you want flavor and texture that satisfies your taste buds.

Ingredients: Frozen ready-to-bake pie crust, defrosted, 4 oz.cubed cooked lean ham or Canadian bacon, 1 small onion, finely minced, ½ cup (2 oz) shredded Swiss or other part-skim white cheese, 3 eggs, 1 cup skim milk, ¼ cup low-fat cottage cheese, 1 Tsp. salt, 1 Tsp. prepared mustard, pinch of pepper, 3 Tbls. Minced fresh parsley.

Directions: Have the pie crust at room temperature. Remove it from its pie pan and put it in a straight-sided 9-inch nonstick round cake pan.  Press the pastry thin to fit the pan. Trim away and discard the excess pastry that overlaps the edges. Sprinkle the ham, onion and Swiss cheese in the bottom of the pan.  Combine remaining ingredients in a bowl or blender and beat smooth.  Pour into pan.  Bake in a preheated 325-degree oven for 40 to 50 minutes or until set.  Six servings, 230 calories each.

GOLDEN NUGGETS

True Stories about Real People

This month I had the opportunity to interview a very special woman who for the last 6 years has traveled around the world. I met her on a business trip in October 2008. This is her story in an abbreviated form.  To find out more about her go to www.asingledrop.org.

Gemma Bulos is a woman whose life was transformed by September 11, 2001.  She was supposed to have been in the World Trade Center that morning but as it turned out circumstances caused her to be somewhere else.  In the aftermath of the horrendous event she felt that her life’s purpose was different from what she was living.  Many of her friends died that morning

Gemma was a pre-school teacher who also had a passion for music.  Singing and composing were a deeply loved hobby.  The 9/11 event inspired her to write a song, ‘We Rise’ that celebrates water as a metaphor for peace and unity in action.  Leaving her job, home, relationships, nearly all of her worldly belongings and her dreams of pursuing a musical career she embarked upon a musical journey to build the “Million Voice Choir for Peace” to sing united from all over the world.  She had no money.  Faith and trust were to be her constant companions.

To date Gemma has performed in over 100 cities in over 60 countries.  On September 21, 2004 she performed at the UN on their International Day of Peace and Global Cease Fire Day.  She is a living example of the concept, “It takes a single drop of water to start a wave, one person to initiate social change.”  She has also founded ‘A Single Drop for Safe Water’ that has enabled people in many parts of the world to learn how to make their water clean and safe to use.

One person can make a difference.  Do take time to visit her website as there is so much more amazing information about this dedicated woman who is changing and empowering many in the world through music and education.  I feel it will touch your heart and mind in a special way.
