QUOTE FOR THE MONTH
"The season of failure is the best time for sowing the seeds of success. Plant your dreams" Author Unknown
(~.~) MARCH'S CHUCKLE (~.~)
There was a middle-aged guy who bought a 2002 Mercedes convertible. He took off down the road, flooring it up to 80 mph and enjoying the wind blowing through what little hair he had left on his head. "This is great!" he thought and floored it some more.
He looked in his rear view mirror and there was a State Trooper behind him, blue lights flashing and siren blasting, "I can get away from him with no problem!" he said to himself and he promptly pushed the accelerator to the floor and sped down the road at over 120 mph.
Then he reflected, "What am I doing? I'm too old for this kind of thing!" promptly pulled over to the side of the road, waiting for the State Trooper to catch up with him.
The Trooper pulled in behind the Mercedes and walked up to the driver's side of the vehicle. "Sir," he said, looking at his watch. "My shift ends in 30 minutes and today is Friday the 13th. If you can give me a reason why you were speeding that I've never heard before, I'll let you go".
The driver looked at the Trooper and said, "Last week my wife ran off with a State Trooper, and I thought you were bringing her back!"
The State Trooper said, "Have a nice day!"

GOLDEN NUGGETS
True Stories about Real People
In a supermarket, Kurtis, the stock boy, was busily working when a new voice came over the loud speaker asking for a carryout at the check register. Kurtis was almost finished with stocking shelves, and wanted to get some fresh air, so he decided to answer the call. As he approached the checkout stand, the smiling face of a new checkout girl greeted him. She was beautiful. An older woman, she was about 26, (he was only 22), he instantly he fell in love.
Later that day, after his shift was over, he waited by the punch clock to find out her name. She came into the break room. Seeing him she smiled, then took her timecard, punched out, and left. He walked over, took a look at her timecard and saw her name, Brenda. Following her out of the break room, he watched her start walking up a road.
Next day, he waited outside as she left the supermarket and offered her a ride home. Having seen him before, he looked harmless enough, so she accepted. When he dropped her off, he asked if maybe he could see her again, outside of work. She simply said it wasn't possible. He asked why and she explained she had two children and she couldn't afford a babysitter, so he offered to pay for the babysitter. Reluctantly, she accepted his offer for a date the following
Saturday.
That Saturday night he arrived at her door only to have her tell him that she was unable to go with him. The babysitter had called and canceled. Kurtis simply said, "Well, lets take the kids with us." Brenda tried to explain that taking the children wasn't an option but Kurtis would not take no for an answer, he wanted to know why the kids couldn't go with them. Finally she brought him inside to meet her children. Introducing him to the children, Kurtis thought that the daughter was as cute as she could be. Then Brenda brought out her son in a wheelchair. He had been
born a paraplegic with Down's syndrome. Kurtis asked Brenda, "I still don't understand why the kids can't come with us?" She was amazed, as most men would run away from a woman with two kids, especially if one had disabilities. That is what her first husband had done.
So, that Saturday night, Kurtis and Brenda loaded up the kids, went to dinner and the
movies. When her son needed anything Kurtis would take care of him. When he needed to use the restroom, Kurtis picked him up out of the wheelchair, took him and brought him back. The kids fell in love with Kurtis. By the end of the evening, Brenda knew this was the man she was going to marry and spend the rest of her life with. A year later, they married. Kurtis adopted both of her children, and they had two more of their own.
What happened to the stock boy and check out girl? Well, Mr. & Mrs. Kurt Warner now live in St. Louis, where he is employed by the St.Louis Rams and plays quarterback.
